The gardens
We believe that our gardens are lovely; mostly laid to grass with mature trees and bordered by flowers. The amusing use of containers for a multitude of plants adds colour and tranquillity to the gardens.
We have kept some areas hidden away and these are available to guests to relax, read or try to see some of the sixty or so bird species that we have discovered so far in the garden. At the right time of year, children can be shown nestlings of several species breeding in a variety of nest boxes hidden around the garden. You can also find green lizards, sand lizards, slow worms, salamanders and even glow-worms on warm evenings ….
You will find benches, tables and chairs placed strategically around the garden. These are, of course, for the use and enjoyment of our guests.
Of course, the summer pleasure for guests of all ages is our lovely 12m-long swimming pool (children must be accompanied please). Towels and loungers are there for you to use.
